So I had to make this blog for a class I took last semester, not until I realized what major I wanted to persue that I wanted to continue this blog. However I don't want it to be just photos, even though they are a lot of our world, so is music. The music we hear on a daily basis can put us in a great mood, a sad mood, or a really dark mood. For whatever the reason I've decided to watch One Tree Hill from Season 1 all over agin (for the 5th time) and go through all nine seasons posting about the songs and the stories that are played in every episode. For me this show sort of shaped me into the person I am today. So what if it sounds cliche but it's true. We've all said it but I think we all can relate to it in someway. The music they had on that show made me fall in love with music and do not take it for granted! So starting tonight I'm going to make a post for every episode of One Tree Hill and post about the music and story lines right here!! Please join me on this journey I take into this magical musical world!
Episode 1:
"There is a tide in the affairs of men, which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. But omitted in the voyage of their life is bound and shallows and miseries on such a full sea are we now afloat and we must take the current when it serves or we lose the ventures before is."
Lucas quotes this from Julious Ceaser at the end of the episode, right after he has won the one on one basketball game and taken claim of what is rightfully his, the spot on the Varsity basketball team. He now becomes a Tree Hill Raven. He knows by becoming one of "them" he has to prove not only to himself but everyone else that he is good enough and better than Nathan. He's faced with the decision to accept the role on the team or go on living his life in the shadows. He decides to become a Raven, and be an unkindness...
One song they play during the episode is:
"Hands Down" by Dashboard Confessional
I've always been a fan of them but not until I watched OTH did I really enjoy them and the meanings behind their songs, they are featured a lot through out the series and I'm glad they are.
Another song I enjoyed was the song played right after Lucas wins the game:
"Rest in Pieces" by Saliva
I like how they put this one in, almost like it's threatening Nathan from Lucas, watch out little brother you're going down.

Cardinal Nation Forever!
Well the season may be over but that doesn't mean the fans or the players don't wish it was still happening. The cardinals went on to lose game 5 and game 6. The Boston Red Sox won the series 4-2. They were just the better team this year. The Cardinals offense was never there when needed and the bottom of our line up was extremely weak. Those are some changes we will need to make this coming year during Spring Training. However we still love them and are as proud as ever that we were able to make it as far as we did with the many rookies stepping up and proving to us why we were there. Heres to an even better season in 2014!

Todays the day The Cardinals take back what was rightfully theirs in the first place. Game 5 with Adam Wainright on the mound and the best guys playing behind him. Im a die hard Cards fan have been since before I could walk, at least thats what my parents tell me! Im proud to be a Cardinal fan, I dont think I would like to be a fan of any other team, why would i when my team is one of the best, we win and we do it often. Just look at the 11 time world series flags hanging in the stadium. Tonight we have to play our hearts out, the fans have to cheer louder than ever before because these "bandwagon" Pirates fans don't know what it takes. We have to show them who is boss!

The hardest thing in life is to grow up I think. We become adults, have to make adult decisions and choices. we feel the need to become like our parents. The thing is we aren't our parents. We grow up to become us, to become ourselves. Yes our parents help guide us in the direction they think we should go but ultimately any choice we make is ours. Whether we make the right choice or not that all depends how it eventually turns out. Determining the outcome of our choices thats on us, if we don't like the outcome that is coming we have to change that, no one else. So lets do it, lets grow up, make decisions, and start living our own lives and be excited for... "What Comes Next." -OTH

That's Life!
Everyday we wake up, knowing for the most part what is going to come of our day. Sure there will be changes. Unexpected changes but we always seem to handle them in some way or another. Throughout the day people are running in every which way and never stopping, unless its to eat, drive, or visit with someone. There's always going to be those times when we want to sit and relax and just do nothing and yet we hardly ever do that, but why is that? I believe we should take out some me time at least once a week. If it happens it happens if not, oh well that's life! But in all seriousness take a few minutes out of your busy life and just enjoy doing nothing. Listen to world around you, watch the people around you, go and live life!
